I was curious how I could extract teh XMP player models for skinning and gerneraly toying with - I've noticed some folks have (apparently, I don't know for sure) rendered soem of the characters (Tech, Ranger, Gunner) for ID icons. I was also thinking of some good desktop image ideas - but how do I extract the player meshes and import them into 3dsmax...

I'm not sure how you would export to 3dsmax, but I do know you can use UED to view them. Open up UED and go into the Animations browser and select your weapon, character or vehicle and it should show up a big list with all of the animations. Hope this will work for you!
