some of the texturing in the screens isnt 100% but you get the general idea. The red coloration of that texture was done by me a LONG time ago when I made a map called Skaarj Generator that I never released (only to WAffnuffly)

It looks very empty. It could use a lot more detail.
What is it supposed to be? At one point you'd think you're in an eh.. errr.. I don't know.. a base?
An installation?
The fourth screenshot gives the impression you're in some sort of a techno temple, I honestly don't know 0_0

I hope you'll be adding more detail though. No overkill course, but you get the idea.

Really, what is it supposed to be?

basically a skaarj installation Neonite. And yeah, I agree that a few of the screens give the impression that it is empty (especially the one of the above ramps I've felt that something is missing up there) I'll add in more detail, remember that this is quite the work in progress.

I'm thinking about putting those transparent display panels around to make it more like an installation and less like blocks in a room. Any suggestions from the screenshots as to where they should go?

Updated screenies: now with less boring! :D The transparent screens in the ramps are holographs obviously so you can walk through them :)

DM-Gen][ ? I don't remember reddish texturing on there but I think it is called Skaarj Generator (nice map).

na that's something else. It was a CTF map that I made. A big experiment for me. Had scripting and all kinds of stuff. Sadly it was shut down by this invisible BSP error wall of doom that wouldnt go away for some reason...other than that it was a great map.

Oh well, at least you recycled the textures :) . If you have a few lying around, maybe you could make it into a texture pack for other map authors to use.

A chance to make oneself a name ? Maybe you've heard of richrig. Maybe you could make a similar file with some cool looking textures inside.

I saved a copy somewhere and I also have TurbineRuins ;) . There was talk of making a series of "ruined" maps :p .

Lately, I've actually done more UT1 mapping than Ut2k3 mapping. It's more challenging to do UT1 mapping because you dont have anything like static meshes or anything to make your map look pretty, you have to do everything yourself and make every aspect of the map the way you want it, not just half-assedly throw in a bunch of pretty static meshes so it looks nice.
