Welcome to the new forum hosted on beyondunreal. Previously hosted on STX (http://www.strategy-x.com). After some events at STX we saw the need for a better host and d@mn i'm quite excited about the beyondunreal deal!
The community will hopefully grow easier on a UT network then a CnC network. If you haven't heard about the SilentAssassins (SA for short) Mod yet, please check out our website: http://sa.beyondunreal.com !
We are creating a espionage mod for the original UT, currently there are no plans to move to next GEN yet.
We are holding open beta testing, although we don't release all the stuff to you. Only the semi-polished things to test. If you want to get more involved, become an official betatester!
A note to the SA staff; please send a private message to me if you want to see the beta corner.

Hi, I'm 1KB, I'm doing the music for SA. I have no idea who everyone else on the mod is, except LT (of course), and SCM. <shameless plug> You can get my music from http://www.mp3.com.au/1kb, it's pretty good, you might as well go there! </shameless plug>

I was lookin thru mods on the beyond unreal website when i noticed a banner that had silent assassins written on it. So went to the link and their i saw what ive been waiting to see forever, a stealth type mode for UT. I cant wait to try it out, it looks so freakin awesome even before i play it, i give props to the staff for the idea :D

I'm afraid HQ isn't in the RC. I could persuade a certain someone to work on it though :)
The HQ building has been rebuild a couple of times since it first appeared in the screenshots. The current screenshots (had to check) are actually accurate. Hopefully we'll see that map finished one day.
Yeah check out thievery, should have pointed that out myself really. Brings a smile to all those with modems if you can manage to download it on your harddisk.

I finally came around to try v0.2 RC01 and it's really cool.
The guns and maps are sweet although I only managed to finish Depot as of yet.
In Streets I don't find the exit area. Currently I play on CarPark.
Depot was great fun with all the explosives and hiding. :D
EDIT: The casings and bodies permanent staying is way cool. :cool: :enforcer:

Actually in streets you cant exit without doing ghost mode, it's not finished im afraid :(

I woud pimp it but it's been a while since the last release yet. Maybe i'll post bits and pieces in a mo. Thanks for hunting this forum down, it's been so empty for as long as I can remember. :'(

You are more then welcome to start any maps, we kind of need mappers on the project but I don't have any active ones atm. :)
Just let me know what you want to do and I could supply you with a lot of updated packages. Perhaps I could put it in the storyline (<-- yes there is one) or I could give you some concepts from the idea pipeline that no-one has started yet. ;)
There is plenty to do if you want to get involved. Anyhow contact me by PM or at renekok - at - gmail - dot - com
I am always working on the code, compared to the current release there are a lot of changes.
For the sake of illustrating that, I thought i would post some new screenies. Everything is work-in-progress as per usual.

Thas cool, I'll get on making a map for levil. When I played the game, the bots got up from the bead, the levils didn't work and there wasn't any superguns like in the pictures, any info on that? I can make a realy good map as soon as I can get movers working again in UEd v2.0.. :) Is there a team player version to this, ya know.... :) ....... Like CounterStrike or UT99-Assult?
(I realy like the granade, automatic gun pictures but they aren't in game)

As I said you most likely have an old version. All that stuff is in development and not available to the public, hence it is on my pc :p. I am kinda wondering though, what do you mean it doesn't work? Did you launch it from the .exe?
The mod is singleplayer (offline) only btw. Sorry to smash your hopes. It really is build from the base up for singleplayer. If you don't like that sort of thing check out NightsEdge, it has all those things and more. Nobody plays it though :)
This mod = james bond + splinter cell + deus ex + nights edge + a huge slice of Unreal.

Yeah the updates occur pretty much when I remember to do them. Half of the time there is nothing solid to report. The project is pretty much dormant till i think the code is feature complete. Unless I get a flood of new staff to volunteer to help me with mapping for example then I'm afraid this project kinda moves down my priority list. It's not the only project I work on anyway.
However I will finish it and I hope it's gonna be sooner rather then later. :)
