View Full Version : Post your desktop! (another pointless thread)
21st Sep 2003, 06:43 AM
It's a weird shape as I'm running a dual monitor setup. 19" 1600x1200 + 15" 1024x768.
I also use Samurize (http://www.samurize.com) for the right side bar and SmartbarXP (http://www.smartbarxp.com) for the left one.
It's so nice to have no icons on my desktop whatsoever :)

Here's what we play on :)
Left to right. Borenson's area, my area and Bunny's area.
Scuse the mess ;)

The cool anime background i've had for 6 months is from Trigun :)
It's 1152x864 resolution by the way.

Here's mine, plain simple green marble texture background. I like to keep the shortcuts trimmed down so I can find things more easily. As mentioned on the last of these threads (on the old Ikonboard forums) this is probably some psychological indicator, but who really cares anyways :)

Left to right. Borenson's area, my area and Bunny's area.Hmmmm ... looks like Borenson and Rev had 'invisibility' while these shots were taken.

Still remember this one?
This is my desktop (http://mb.link-m.de/mychaeel-desktop.gif), and this is my screensaver (http://mb.link-m.de/mychaeel-screensaver.gif).
I wonder if that changed...

25th Sep 2003, 08:28 AM
After looking at everyone else's nice and tidy desktops i gave my whole hard drive a clean up and the desktop of course :)
That took 4 hours
Even got another cool anime background :-)
25th Sep 2003, 09:07 AM
Here is mine at the mo,
I move between having a plain black background or something astrological or as you can see here, some anime. (Recognise this one Katana?)
25th Sep 2003, 09:46 AM
Haven't watched that anime yet, I'm already d/ling too much as it is, I only got 10GB left on my 120GB HD :D
Is it any good?
25th Sep 2003, 03:43 PM
Katana - yep it is a pretty decent series. If you like Noir and Cowboy Beebop, you will like this one too.
Its good for those fans that like a good battle or two and also for those that like the social and emotional interactions between the different characters.
MMmmm best not make this become an anime thread or we will be slated :-P

This is my current desktop, but I often change it.
Sometimes I have photos on it or wallpapers downloaded from the internet.
This one made Sexmachine for me.
Thanx by the way ;)

Well, I decided to revive this thread by posting a screeny of _my_ desktop. Note the two-line taskbar :D
Also note the Silver & Verdana-based theme, by moi :)
You might also notice that I seem to have a lot of programming-type stuff. Of course, you might not bother to look at the picture & consequently not notice any of this, but if you do that a large infernal will appear beside your house & kick it over :D
Oh I'll just shut up now & attach the image.
14th Oct 2003, 01:23 PM
With the exception of an occasional note or file temporarily parked on it, the attached image is an authentic screenshot of what my desktop has been looking like for the last couple of years.
MASM? Cool. I used to work with MASM 6.0 a couple of years ago; I still got the package standing here on my shelf.
14th Oct 2003, 04:34 PM
lol Mych, just two icons is...erm...space-efficient? :P
And as for MASM, I use nasm now, team standards...best that you don't question further ^^. It's also better for OS development, which is the big tube of pringles I been working with recently.
16th Oct 2003, 01:55 AM
I used to use XASM and MPLab when i was doing Z80 and PIC16F8XX assembler. I'm guessing MASM and NASM are x86 assemblers.
Mychaeel, what a boring desktop.

Well, here is mine with my two kittens on it.
