New TC Mod for Unreal 1 !!

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. Well at long last we are releasing the Total Conversion mod that we have been working on for so long. Let Bozo, Wolf, UnLeaded, and/or Pitbull know what you think and please give us some feedback.

Note: You can play Crystal Castles on most DM maps - we are still producing some of our custom maps specific to the mod at this time though. Keep an eye out for some new map releases in the future!

Crystal Castles has several new pickups that alter gameplay:

Basically for most games - the highest score wins. You can get points by killing your enemies and picking us score gems that are scattered throughout the level. In addition several of the gems provide ammo for one of the weapon pickups... Available precious pickups include: Diamond, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Orange Sapphire, Yellow Sapphire, Ametyst and Gold Coins.
Each type scores differently so keep an eye out for the higher scoring gems.

Crystal Castles has several new weapons that alter gameplay:

The Crystal Stunner (The Staff) either shoots a stun bolt or performs a radius stun. The stun range and/or speed of the stun bolt depends on how long you charge before firing. When stunned you are invlunerable but cannot move. The length of the stun also varies according to charge. After you come unstunned you are invlunerable to future stun effects for 5 seconds...


The Crystal Stinger (Stinger Replacement) has four fire modes. Use alt fire to switch modes. Each uses a different ammo type so make sure you have picked up enough gems to provide sufficient ammo to use your weapon....Gems provide ammo for each fire mode. Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, and Diamond respectively.

The Sapphire mode fires shards similar to normal Stinger but they travel much faster and howl as they rip by your head - spooky to say the least.

The Ruby mode fires a proximity fused Gem Chunk that detonates at closest approach to any enemy. Be sure they aren't too close to you when you fire - many shards fly out when this explodes!!

The Emerald mode fires a spread similar to normal Stinger alt fire but at a much faster rate and with extra shards produced. A bit harder to dodge also...

The Diamond mode fires a projectile at near railgun speeds. Delivers quite an impact also...

Some items are available also:

The cherries are a carryable health pickup. Use it when you need them - but watch out - they are organic and decay over time...

The honeypot is another carryable health pickup. It provides superhealth status when consumed - it also decays over time....

The Knight Shield gives you added defensive armor...

The Wizard Hat provides total invulnerability for a short period of time. The wearer glows distinctively when this is picked up so Run Away when you see them!!

The Hope Gem steals points from nearby enemies. Activate it when you are closeby to get ahead on points. Tip: Use the Stunner and HopeGem in concert to steal points easily!!

The Witch Broom allows you to fly for a short while. The broom heads in the direction you are looking. Press duck to hover in midair...

Watch out for the Witch Minions:

In several of the maps - evil monsters are gated in to defend the level from all comers. Kill em all!!
