I just caught shots of this on the news earlier. Wow.

Man Skydives across the English channel at 200mph (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3113733.stm)

How high is 30,000ft? because when he jumped out I thought he looked impossibly high up.

Anyone else watch this on the news?

BBC

It has also put this rather earnest daredevil into the record books for the first human flight unaided and unpowered across the 21 miles of the English Channel - or 35km if you prefer.

Neat accomplishment but...

I don't think so. He used a aircraft to get up to 30,000 feet.

The plane wasnt used in the forward motion. just like jumping off of a rather large tower...
