Groove Games, publishers of Devastation, has released the first trickles of information on Desert Thunder, a new third-person shooter based in the Middle East, using the Unreal engine:
At the beginning of the game, the players' original mission to overthrow a terrorist faction has already been compromised, so, as the only surviving member of their battalion, it's up to them to make their way to the capital city to rendezvous with allied forces. Played from a third-person view, Desert Thunder will purportedly feature the largest environments ever created using Unreal technology, and will give the player access to weapons that are capable of destroying not only other vehicles, but also any walls and buildings that stand in their way.
No release date for Desert Thunder has been set as of yet.
