good SP game

After playing Galaxies a ton, I'm in the mood for a good single player experience. I was gonna get KOTOR but that's coming out in a gabillion million years so what should I get today? I'm thinking Shadows of Undrentide. Any suggestions?

yeah I recommend Shadows of undrentide until KOTOR comes out on the PC. Warcraft 3 is pretty good to, the expansion pack that was just recently released has a great campaign and story line.

Yeah. You can only play the original levels so many times. But there are a lot of custom made levels and online play :tup:

Deus Ex. Thief series. They aren't RPGs though (or, not a real RPG in Deus Ex' case), but if people are even recommending Serious Sam here... o_O

Deus Ex=Best game of all time, in my opinion. Beaten it all 3 ways, great great great great great great wonderfully great game. I've beaten JKII and SC too. Played JKII last night infact.

If you like Deus Ex (I kinda agree with you on the best-game-of-all-time-thinh..at least it's one of the very very best) you should play System Shock 2 as well, and if you liked the sneaking aspects of Deus Ex, the Thief games. All those games have incredible atmosphere, great gameplay, good stories...

I'd have to say Morrowind, i'm not even an rpg player or something but the concept of that game is soo good and the quests and storyline will keep you busy for a LONG time :)

Halo seriously kicks ass. More than you can even comprehend. GREAT single player action, plus you can do co-op story mode, and the multiplayer kicks ass as well. Then again you might want to wait till it comes out for PC in late September :)

I went with Undrentide. I found all my birthday money I thought I spent, so I can get a couple games if I want.

What do you think of it? Im on the very final battle, thought the game was great fun, although not long enough. Ive only got to level 12, and so havent been able to fully experience the new prestige class (I went with the Arcane Archer), so im gonna have to try witches wake I think.

On a side note, does anyone know when the next expansion pack for NWN comes out (I think its called Hordes of the Underdark or something like that), although I imagine if I could be bothered I could find it easily enough.

Aliens are taking over your ship, so you escape in an escape pod and crash land on an alien planet with a big ring around it (hence the name, Halo), which the humans discover is a mystical religious weapon of great power.

I won't tell you much more because I dont want to ruin the end for you, plus I haven't exactly beat the whole game yet :D

but I'm pretty close anyways.

IMO the single player is even better than the multiplayer since you can do co-op play, and the bots that fight along side you are really smart. The AI is pure genious.

Was playing LAN with my pal Lance on Undrentide. We beat Chapter one, looked outside, and the sun was up. I slepped well, and woke up to the new Jane's Addiction CD. Kick ass.
