Ultimate Survival - is a UT2003 paintball modification, as you may know - We are currently working towards our public beta and almost have our website online (hosted at www.planetunreal.com (http://www.planetunreal.com) ). happens evertime and never fails :( mvpb comes up :mad:
we are not mvpb and are not like mvpb. they are a serious mod w/ pure paintball mod nothing extra. ums is a paintball mod w/ a bit of a kick :) plenty of extras to unlock, 6 vehicles ingame, and yes paintball guns and paintball maps. optional mutators also make this mod fun indeed. ums is about fun. mvpb is about being serious :p
completly different :D

UMS has also started -- in fact we have probably done more than MVPB - but i dont want to go into a flaming war about the 2 mods -- i do get on with DA . we have a friendly relationship i think.
Anyway back to the point - U not interested in skinning for us then ?? :D

I'm not trying to bash your mod (or any mod, for that matter), so don't get mad please. Just read, and do yourself a favor by replying earnestly so that others can get a better impression of your project and join your team instead of any other mod's.

DARKGOD.THC! didn't even mention in his first posting that you were aware of the other paintball-related mods-in-progress that are around (it wouldn't be the first time that a mod team was thinking they were doing something truly original just to discover that several other mod teams were doing the same); nor why anybody should choose to work for your mod instead of one of the other mods.

In your last posting you have somewhat addressed that issue, but your statements are very vague: You have "a bit of a kick," "plenty of extras," and "six vehicles in-game." The first two are non-statements; the last is so generic that it sounds more like wishful thinking than a concept. (Is there any UT2003 mod around that does not have "vehicles" on their feature list?)

So, as a moderator of this forum and somebody who has read plenty of other recruitment posts before (and recognizes some patterns from the past here), I suggest that you take some time elaborating on the actual conceptual differences between your mod and the other paintball-related mods around, and that you do it in a manner that sounds like a serious design concept, not just a listing of things you'd like to have.

Again, I'm not going against your mod, I'm just trying to explain how you should go about recruiting people for your project. :) You can expect that other people reading your postings have the same thoughts about it as I, even if they don't pronounce them.

Thank you for your honest reply. - i am sorry that i didnt make my first post more clearer- As its only for a skinner i though that the pictures would give a small idea of the sort of jobs that are on offer. - I didnt think that i would need to post everything my mod has to offer - Im aware of the other mods that are trying to acheive the same as me . Like i said before though - i talk to the other boss of MVPB and we get on quite well.

MVPB have loads of stuff most of which isnt publically viewable etc. so please dont start saying u have more stuff etc when u don't know you have

now for some compleltly unrealted questions.

why do u need vehicals in paintballing?

chill out man - its not a war! -- i thought we were meant to have a friendly relationship between the mods - i guess i was wrong . Anyway I have absolutley nothing bad to say about MVPB - its looking sweet and i cant wait to have a play :) - our beta should be out soon - so we can see who has done what then

As for viechles -- WHY NOT ?? :mad:

yeah, my mod! Medieval doesnt have vehicles planned....
