Crimson Strife is a brand new total conversion for UT2003. The planning stages are complete, as is the website, story, concept art, and even a vehicle render. It aims to explore a new avenue of gameplay. Here's some of what it's all about:
This game is fundamentally based on military tactics, teamwork, and decision-making. The goal is to force the player to think about their actions, and what decisions they make. Every choice will have consequences, and the player must take these consequences into consideration before making a decision.
Crimson Strife is a single player and multiplayer co-operative first person shooter (FPS) set in the not so distant future. Crimson Strife will be based on team play elements, co-operative gameplay, and tactics. As the game progresses and the player becomes more experienced, they will gradually be given more responsibility, and with this responsibility, be able to lead progressively larger teams of their own.
Crimson Strife will attempt to fill a genre that is woefully empty at the moment. It will combine tactics and teamplay elements from games such as Rainbow Six with the adrenaline pumping action of games such as Unreal Tournament. It will allow for non-linear gameplay and will force the player to think before acting.
They have a pretty substantial team, but if you're interested in helping out, just drop them an email.
