I'm bored of Windows looking like Windows, anyone got any suggestions for things I could change?

(apart from Windowblinds or style XP, seeing as the trial version of Windowblinds has already expired and style XP complains that it is incompatable with my windows build)

Patch uxtheme.dll (Google it) and then use DeviantArt to find a good visual style (again, Google it) and some icons. Then you can get ObjectDock and maybe some Samurize in there to add some extra crap on the desktop. D:

Edit: Point of patching that DLL is so you don't have to run crapware to use custom themes.

You guys were talking about ObjectDock vs. RocketDock. This is why I prefer RocketDock:

Stacks docklet FTW. You can set any icon to it, and it can be set to any folder. You can also have as many stacks on the dock as you like. Alternatively, it can be set to draw certain folders in grid style, like so:

With this, you can hide your desktop icons and just point the Stacks docklet to your desktop. This makes things much neater, to me at least.

RocketDock is also faster and (usually) has less memory footprint than ObjectDock. And lets not forget the myriad of plugins and skins available for RocketDock.

You should try Launchy (http://www.launchy.net/). All the functionality of the quick launch bar or a dock but more robust and a lot quicker. I'm not a fan of moving my hands back and forth between the keyboard and mouse if I don't have to, so it works out nicely.

I finally bit the bullet and got rid of iTunes. A buddy of mine told me how the latest version of WinAmp is now able to sync your iPod so I "found" a free copy WA Pro and was pretty satisfied.
iTunes was never a problem for me since I had slimmed my version down and never owned an MP3 player other than iPod. But it is nice to have a music program that, without having to alter it at all, comes in at like 40 megs lighter and requires half the system resources.

I heard the Nats had a nice joint.
But from just looking at different parks, I really think STL has one of the single nicest stadiums in the country. The only other places I've actually been to are Wrigley numerous times, the Whitesox house whatever its called, and Fenway and old Yankee stadium once each.

Went back to using the Windows classic theme with flat black for window title bars, item selection, etc. Only thing I changed was to use Segoe UI for the font. Nothing worth showing off. But this pic is pretty cool.
