Ok, I'll throw my desktop picture into the mix. Yes, I know, it's Windows ME, not XP, and I have hella icons on my desktop, but I like the pic ;)

I like Kiss. :) the theory.

Jet's usually don't fly that close to water, if they get too much moisture in their engines it's not good.

Though it IS possible. I've seen it before. But not at that speed, it'd probably get pulled into the water, plus the intake feild at that distance would be different. no. the water would not reach up and snatch the plane. let me try to inject some sense into this. in fact and in effect, a firm surface(whatever it may be) located directly under a plane would cause quite the opposite of a sucking phenomenon. it's not an unusual occurance for a pilot to find his plane subject to even more "lift" (actually it's being pushed upward) close to the ground (my father is a pilot so there :-P). it's roughly akin to aquaplaning (hydro..?), when you're going too fast in the rain. for aircraft, there is simply little room for the air to be forced downward (or compressed) between the plane and the ground at extremely low altitude. the ground discourages the air from being forced even further downward, directly, than would happen in flight at altitude.

that is worded a bit awkwardly, but I can provide more accurately worded detail if that short bit is difficult to understand.

blackbox handles the desktop, not the windowsdesign, as bb4win isn't a windowmanager like on *nix.

I have this problem....why is it then whenever i install blackbox or lifestep, i couldnt seem to access to my internet connection? lifestep particularly, i couldnt click on an icon and highlight it...blackbox is just screwing with everything...user error..i know. what am i doing wrong? O_o

For wallpapers, please....please! Go to [URL=www.deviantart.com] They always have amazing abstract wallpapers posted daily. You will LOVE it.

Winamp Skin...Obviously from Winamp.com. I currently use Venus. I then set it to Always on Top (Ctrl-A), and I then set the transparency to about 30-40%. I then I set it to Opaque on Focus. That way I always see it, but it never gets in the way unless I select it. w00t!

And Litestep! Isotanium Skin. Delicious.

I tried Litestep before, twice actually, and never liked it. Most of the themes are just too minimalistic for me. That and the fact that when you try and uninstall LiteStep, Windows programs stopped working properly, so I was forced to reformat and install Windows again.

A warning: LiteStep isn't just some program like ThemeXP, it actually replaces your Explorer shell. Be careful, is all.

The latest LiteStep is a huge improvement. And it doesn't REPLACE Explorer. It as alternative. You can return to Explorer at anytime you wish. And there are tons of themes on LiteStep.net and on DeviantArt. However, it is not rookie friendly, like ThemeXP.

WinUAE, in this case. I got nostalgic and set up a Workbench 1.3.2 system to run "688 Attack Sub" and stuff. It's really made me appreaciate what a quantum leap AmigaOS 2.0 was from the 1.x OS.

BTW, since the A3000 came with AmigaOS 2.0 it would hardly be seen running OS 1.3 as in the screenshot.

I installed style XP, then uninstalled it. It has changed all my program icons like instead of the media player icon for a mp3, its now got a wav icon, does anyone know how to fix this ?

To change icons associated with file types, go to My Computer, then click Tools --> Folder Options --> File Types. Then select a file type, click Advanced, and change the icon there.

Btw, Style XP isn't really necessary for changing visual styles. All you need to do is get a patched Uxtheme.dll file. :)

Just installed my brand new PNY GeForce 5700 Personal Cinema. It's replacing a sucktacular 5500/256MB, which in turn replaced an ATi Radeon 8500/128MB. It's breathing new life into an old mobo (PCI-E? AGP 8x? Nah... 4x is Good Enough :)). I didn't even need to order that 1GB of PC2700 to replace my ancient 512MB of PC2100 rescued from a fried system. Oh well.

This is my last screenshot this year. Seriously. ;)

Feh. Just takes some setting up. One thing I don't like though is how you have to completely reset up the links between themes. There isn't an import links feature, which I'd like a lot when I don't feel like being saturated with blue :p It's very memory-friendly though, especially when used with xplorer 2. One explorer window open in windows after start up uses 240mb of memory. The same thing in Aston with xplorer 2 uses around 180 :tup:
