(Edit: OK, apparently vB3 has a built-in flame killer, as the above was written as "OMFG FIRST POLL.")
(Edit 2: I like that feature; you can set it so that the people who voted for what are listed. Would've been handy on the penis size poll. ;))

Good stuff!...
...But it's like foreign technology and I'll have to re-adjust to where everthing is and isn't, simply because of all the new gizmos and gadgets vB3 has..

I like the signature features. Ya know? How we can preview it and stuff? That's uber 1337.

I also like the Linear/Threaded/Hybrid feature...not because I'd use it much, because it (threaded mode) gives things an old-school message board feel. :)

I like this. My only peeve is that there seems to be to much space in the avatar and the toolbar area. I like the new features, though I'll probably never use half of them. I like the formatting options for replying.
And down with the post counts. I lost about 2/3's of mine. :p

It's pretty good, I think the BU style needs some work though. Everything looks a bit seperated. Even the "new post" and "new thread" buttons are on in a seperate table. All these small things should be merged with that large tables methinks.
There's something I don't like about the colors in the default theme either. Guess it's the dark gray used to seperate posts and titles, etc.
But overall, the forum software looks good.

I've had alot of problems with Firebird 0.6. It started acting up after a while.
So I'm back to my previous browser, which is still quite fast. ;)
Seems vbulletin's own style does the same as BU's style. Sorry if I don't really like it. :/

Bad.
Very bad.
The avatar space is HYOOJ, and in the advanced reply screen, the reply bit takes up half the screen and the smily box takes up the other half. But, of course, it doesn't, so half the screen is empty space.
And I tried to provide attachments to prove what I'm saying, but when I clicked 'All Done' it closed the page.

Wow, a fire-extinguisher :D
Sounds like the PHP function ucwords (http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.ucwords.php) which is a neat little function.
In the edit box, you can select a word and apply a style to it, like if you select something and press the B-button, it adds bold-tags to the word.
Click again and it removes the tags...
You couldn't do this in the old version.
I've seen this in PHPBB before.
For some reason, this don't work in enhanced mode, which makes me wonder why it's there at all?
There's a little bug concerning thisone though.
If you select a word and the space after it, like IE does on doubleclick, it won't remove the tags when you click a second time, but it will ad another pair of tags.
If the space is in front of the word then it works correctly, which makes it more annoying as IE refuses to cooperate when I want to select a partial word (It wants me to select whole words only, and preferably the space behind them too, which totally collide with this bug  )
Ah, and it automagically adds a space after smilies now, so that  don't become ) in the ends of paranthesed sentences
Also, it adds smilies where you want them instead of at the end of the message.
Good work vB-guys!
Now you can choose color by the color rather than the color name :D
Lots of small details fixed.
Feels like an UT2K3 patch with the difference that it don't make you feel disappointed :biggrin2:

Enhanced mode is b0rked in mozilla it seems. Smilies still insert at the end, when inserting something like a tag using the buttons and stuff it scrolls the text field up which is annoying. It seems all forum software suffers from these things. I wouldn't know if it's a mozilla thing or just software coded for IE only.
I still like the new vb regardless. They finally put in the [ quote=... ] tag style. I like thread mouseover previews, stuff like that.
Lots of small details fixed indeed.

It's too crowded, looks crap under Firebird, looks even more crap under Firebird and Linux. The postcount is annoying...
The only really good thing is the avatar position (it's now centered). Oh, and the new admin cp looks quite handy, although at least the announcement system looks broken for now...

Havnt seen much of it, but what Ive seen looks good. The space around the avatar is very, very ugly though. Looks wise, vB2 wins hands down. But I like the features of vB3.
60% happy with it, but its early days and theres lots of time to tweak it to hell and back, so Ill vote yes :)

First impression:
1. The forum is SLOW, esp to a 56k'er. It takes much longer time to load a thread compared to vb2. Is this because of BuF server or just slow(er) software?
2. The layout needs to be improved IMO. Everything seems to take up more space, it feels like viewing on 800x600. Plus there seem to be a lot of spaces and blank areas around, which somehow makes the screen look cluttered. I would prefer if these empty spaces could be reduced to get more data per screen without making it look cramped. The horizontal bars between each posts is useless IMO, it only takes up space and makes the screen look cluttered. Is there any way to disable this?
The rest is fine (so far). I like the wealth of features. :)

I, personally, like the horizontal bar between posts---I think it makes everything look a lot neater and more structured. The one thing I dislike layout-wise is how the "Report Post" line is directly below the posting or signature without any space to separate it from the posting.

Disabling signatures is always a good idea, but avatars are actually useful. They enable you to tell at a glance who the poster is. The fact that the space for avatars is way too damn big is a problem, for the simple reason that it didn't exist before, and now in 'new, improved' VB3 it does.

That sums up pretty well what my views are on it. There should be some way to cutting the size of the avatar area to vB2 size.

The left column that contains the avatars is about three pixels wider than it was in vBulletin 2. The only difference is that text and avatars in the left column are centered now.

I beg to differ, the text may be centered, but the avatar area is noticably wider than vB2.

For some reason the column is displayed slightly wider in vBulletin 3 (by precisely eight pixels). Check the screenshot.

I like it in some ways, but it also feels a bit "messly" sometimes because of the new things and seeing as it is Beta 3 right now, it might get better soon. Being able to perview your sig without having to go to one of your posts is nice ;) .

One thing I have noticed is that vB3 has a "border" around it, which cuts down the useful area of the page, that adds to the "cramped" feel of vB3.
The following are cropped to only the width of the used area of the thread. But thats not really the real point, vB3 "feels" like theres less space.

Well, that's nice. It's still too damn big.
The advanced reply box is exactly the same width as it always was too, but it's still annoying that it's at the right of my screen with a huge empty space to the left of it around the smiley box, since in Western writing conventions, empty space goes to the right.
