Hello, I am having a bit if trouble with bots and scripted pawns. I am wanting to get a bot to follow two patrolpoints. If however I use a bot and try and set him to friendly or ignore he keeps running about trying to kill me, even though he has no weapon, as I place him in the level, and if I try and use a scriptedpawn it is then possible to set the order tags to the start of my patrolpoints but he then doesn't appear in my map.

The reason for doing this is that my map is a hotel lobby, and I want bots to be simply wandering about in the lobby ignoring the players so it is possible to blow them up at will :) Come on mapper geniuses this must be an easy one for you guys, cheers and beers.

Thanks thats cleared up a couple of problems. However I was wondering, is it possible to have other creatures in my map apart from the ones which come with the editor? I say this because I want some normal people walking about my map. As its not very realistic having crazy creatures walking about my hotel, cheers.

just use the pawn > bot > humanbotplus and any of those actors - and assign multiple skins (display > multiskins)

Cool I can texture him, erm.. you don't know where texture packs exist that are just of normal everyday people do you? Also teh thing is that he still doesn't follow the patrolpoints, and is always trying to kill me (Am using a TMale2Bot) even though I set his attitudeToPlayer as ignore, any ideas Machismo? By the way is that an Angel on the bog? Hehe funny if it is.

patrolpoints and alarmpoints give problem in UT, they dont work in 50 % of the cases, try replacing them, with less distance between them and stuff

and i dunno if you really can just add a bot like that that actually ignores you, its still a bot you know, and bots are programmed to kill you
look at a few skinsites and tehn ask the author if you may use them

Bots are not ScriptedPawns, they don't follow patrolPoints nor defend a GuardPoint nor trigger Alarms...

I'm currently working on a package that lets you script bots for SP maps, this is what you'd need.
This package will be released as part of the Beyondunreal Forumers Bonus Pack.
