Ok, this question has been asked b4 but as I could see from the answer the question wasn't clear enough.... When UED2 is started this blank "browser" window pops up and yes it takes little effoert to close it but it dose get annoying to have to do it everytime you launch the program. I have looked thru the .ini and tried some diff settings but cannot get the little bugger from poping up. Is there a solution to this?

I just grabbed a corner of the window, made it really small, dragged it to the bottom corner, and then exitted UED without closing the window. Now when I load UED, at least it's in the far corner out of the way.

That's as close as you'll get.

Unfortunately I tried making it small and putting it in the corner and closing UED without closing the window first and I get the same result..in my face everytime I start up...arrg..so I opened the texture browser and set it to docked now at least when I fire it up it's the texture browser and not just blank and useless :)

But isn't anyone round here technically savy enough with the editor to know how to kill the dam thing?

my guess would be going to the bottom of unrealed.ini to where it says [master browser] then change the active from 1 to 0.
i dunno if that works or not.

why do u wann get rid of it? dock several browsers (i have actor, texture, sound, music, group) and u don't have 2 worry about all the windows.

Yeah, it's much better to open the actor class browser, sound browser etc. and set them all to docked, then they all appear as just tabs in one window instead of having several windows cluttering the screen.

This method crashed my entire computer several times. Hence I never use it :)

Errr, everyone seems to say that. I thought it was a bit of a poor idea myself. I would update the site but I forgot my password and I lost all my ftp setting becasue I had to format about a week ago

Strange. It's a great idea because you didn't need to modify it very much. The structure of the Ued browser suits the needs of your index perfectly.

And it's a cunning hint at the content of your site too. It's a genius design if I ever saw one, and I saw many (not genius though)
