So, I've got another nube question, I made searches of the posts no answer. And have checked the tuts but can find no help there.
I am trying to illuminate a pool of gook so that it can be seen through the Mesh textured walkway that crosses it. The lights I have now are under the liquid texture. but are providing absolutely no illumination:(. There are also lights in the room above the pool. When in game if you fire the pistol you can, with the weapon flash, see briefly through to the liquid under the walkway. any suggestions?

thanks

If you want to make the liquid itself appear to be glowing, then set the texture to 'unlit'. If you want it to reflect light, then just add lights above the surface. And finaly, if you don't want anything else to be illuminated by the lights, use special lights, and set the texture to 'special lit'. Hope I helped a little.

so i guess i fixed it, I increased the depth of the pool and then lowered the lights, and now it works. Thanks for taking the time to read and thanks to those who replied. A picture? what a novel idea why did'nt I think of that.

Also use the BrightCorners option for a surface......... it works wonders in maps:)
