Little Help?

I read about hitting the translocator with the impact hammer on LavaGiant to get on the ridge, but from every little roof I tried, I couldn't hit the damn thing! Can someone help me out here?

Just get the jump boots instead. Then go to the entrance that has an ledge around it. Translocate on top of the ledge and then jump and double translocate to the top.
