How about a mutator which lets you see the name of a person even from long range?

Why? So you can shoot just when theirame appears and get a easy kill? :)

What's that got to do with anything? You'd still have to actually hit the guy. He isn't asking for an aimbot :lol:

if he were I'd have to have him banned, but he isn't ;)

That's a good point man, I kind of like that idea. Someone's gotta make this thing :)

That would require a new HUD, which would require a new game type...

No it wouldn't. Name already appear if you get close enough to someone, and all you would have to do is write a mutator that increases the range.

The range is fixed. It cannot be changed through a mutator.
You'd have to make a new HUD or at least a new target identification HUD mutator.

Which is handled by the HUD. The only way I know of to modify the HUD is with a new game type.

you could make it so that you could point at people halfway across the world and get their names without ever actually seeing them ;)

15000 units seems good ;):D

Until now: Extra stuff = config window (Range: 1000-Unlimited, expressed in whatever you want, like UU, meters, yards...:))

Erm... 15000 is enough to do a flag-to-flag head shot in Hall of Giants (if the sniper rifle could fire that far) :D

The mutator seems to work already. I'll give it a quick test and then post it here.

I know, HoG is 16,384 units I think, and the SR only fires 10,000.

Even if you could identify the guy, you'd be hard pressed to actually hit him from there. :p

How far does the identifier reach now?

If you set it to "Unlimited" it's 50000 Unreal Units. (should be enough for any map :D)
