Curved surfaces in unreal tournament?

i was editng my unreal.ini file to rid myself of the intro and i say something intresting ....
CurvedSurfaces=False

is this the same thing as the hailed q3 wonder graphics... if it actualy functional ?

The 'curved surfaces' in Unreal and UT only change the 'curving' on the player models, not in any architecture. In fact, I think that it might even be broken in UT, purposely, b/c of the massive resource hit it makes.

The Quake III engine supports true bezier curves. The Unreal/UT engine does support curved surfaces but it not designed in an optimal manner for it so they had to turn the option off.

The next generation engine from Epic is gonna kick even Quake III's *** .
