View Full Version : Infinite Map: CTF-B3AtomicEngineCore

I like CTF-B3AtomicEngineCore by blito3 because it is the only map that I have ever seen with recursive architechture. The map has 10 tiers that repeat an apparently infinite number of times. There are places on the map where you can see yourself in the distance and shoot youself. I see nothing outstandingly wrong with this map.

This map brings out the bitchy people though..they don't realize it repeats and they start bitching about being lost and never finding flag carriers. I love the map though. Another good b3 map is b3maxicrusher. As you run over the floor tiles they move up to the ceiling to crush pursuers..crazy fun that one.

Thank you, Freakish, I was unaware of this map site and it appears to be very good. Blito seems to be very creative and prolific; however, except for this one, most of his maps don't appeal to me. One of the reasons I like CTF-B3AtomicEngineCore is that the quickest way up is to go down by falling or translocating. I tend to like maps that promote unusual strategies. Also, certain mods work very well on this map.

Yeah..Blito's maps are usually controversial in that many dislike them and many like them. b3LostMarines is a popular one though. I also think maxicrusher, crystalbrick and atomiccore are great. He's unconventional, but cool.

Numbering the floors might ruin the "seamless" infinity of floors, but it
would let you know if you are on the same level as the flag, for
example. It's fun to jump down one of the endless areas and shoot
redeemers at yourself...

B3 is the master of concept maps. Too bad he's so reluctant to add eyecandy.

AtomicEngineCore is just weird , but fun with SLv2 or other wacky mods (DMUT , U4E...)

MaxiCrusher is great fun. The gameplay is just disorienting... only sad thing , 2 redeemer at the same spot (fortunately the crushing blocks provide cover as well)

Astyanax used to make concept maps like theses , using tons of warpzones and whatnot. SFear][ is quite groovy , with its faked directional gravity...

True!!! but the true name is "warheadlauncher" but nobody might not care on what it is called!!

Wrong, from the source code: ItemName="Redeemer"

WarheadLauncher is the name of the object, but the object is meant to be "The Redeemer"
